The ProMag Archangel Precision Elite Stock is a big-league upgrade for anyone running a Savage Model 10 or 11 short action who wants better ergonomics and a repeatable fit without the price tag of a full aluminum chassis. It's aluminum pillar bedded, fully adjustable, and built for cartridges based on the .308 / 7.62×51 family with a max cartridge overall length of 2.815 inches, which covers popular short-action rounds like .308 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor. It ships with a TYPE D Archangel Precision short-action polymer magazine (the AA133-05) so you get a proper detachable-mag setup right out of the box.
The integral magwell is the clever part here. It lets a factory Savage action feed from ProMag's single-column detachable magazine, so you drop the barreled action in and gain a real mag well without gunsmithing the receiver. The barrel channel is cut to varmint-contour size, meaning it free-floats most sporter and heavier barrel profiles for cleaner, more consistent groups. Construction is high-strength carbon fiber and glass reinforced polymer, so it shrugs off weather and hard field use while staying lighter than a metal chassis.
Fit is where this stock earns its keep. The cheek riser clicks up 1.5 inches of travel in .05-inch increments, and the length of pull adjusts from 13.5 to 14.6 inches, so you can get your eye behind the scope and the buttpad set to your build. You also get a gooseneck grip with palm swells, a textured recoil pad, an off-hand pressure hook, a lockable storage compartment in the buttstock, and three flush-fit steel QD sling swivel hardpoints (swivels sold separately).
The ventilated forend carries M-Lok slots for a bipod, rail section, or light, and it's textured for solid control off a bag or barricade. Savage actions vary quite a bit year to year, so expect to check clearance during install. The stock has an elongated front action screw hole and a flippable eccentric washer to handle both common screw spacings, and some owners do minor inletting to clear a top bolt release. Put in that bit of fitting work and you end up with a stock that feels like a serious upgrade over the factory piece.
