Pro-Shot has been turning out American-made cleaning gear since 1982, and the C-Multi is one of their smartest little kits for anyone running more than one handgun caliber. It's built around an 8" working-length micro-polished stainless swivel-handle rod, and that swivel is the whole point. As you push through the bore, the handle lets the rod rotate freely so the brush or patch follows the rifling instead of fighting it. That means a cleaner bore in fewer strokes and less wear on your barrel over time.
This is a true multi-caliber setup. You get three precision spear-tip jags sized for .357/.38 and 9mm, .40 and 10mm, and .45, plus a multi-caliber nylon bore brush that handles the whole .38 to .45 range. The nylon bristles hold up to solvents and oils without going soft, and they ride on a solid brass core. A brass muzzle guard keeps the rod centered when you clean from the muzzle, which protects the crown, the part of the barrel that matters most for accuracy.
Everything lives in a reusable tube with a hang cap, so the kit stays organized and travels easy whether it's riding in your range bag or hanging in the shop. Along with the rod, jags and brush you get a brass patch holder, a starter pack of Pro-Shot's 2.25" square 100% cotton flannel patches, and a dropper bottle of their 1-Step Cleaner and Lubricant to get you started.
All the threaded accessories run the standard #8-32 thread pattern, so jags, brushes and patch holders swap in and out cleanly and match up with other Pro-Shot components down the road. The jags and rod are machined to fit together snug, which is what Pro-Shot means by their matched cleaning system. It's the kind of kit competitive shooters, law enforcement and everyday pistol owners reach for when they want gear that lasts more than a season.
The C-Multi comes with three spear-tip jags covering .357/.38 and 9mm, .40 and 10mm, and .45 caliber. The included nylon bore brush is sized to handle the full .38 to .45 range. That makes it a solid choice if you own or shoot several popular pistol calibers and want one kit instead of several.
The swivel handle lets the 8" rod rotate freely as you push it through the bore, so the brush or patch follows the rifling twist instead of dragging against it. This cleans more effectively in fewer strokes and puts less stress on the barrel. It's a feature you'll find on higher-end competition and bench kits.
Yes, it ships with a dropper bottle of Pro-Shot's 1-Step Cleaner and Lubricant to get you started. It's a starter amount, so heavy or frequent cleaners will want to keep a full-size bottle of solvent on hand. The kit also includes a starter sample of cotton flannel patches.
They will. The rod and all the threaded accessories use the standard #8-32 thread pattern, so you can add or replace jags, brushes and patch holders as needed. Pro-Shot machines their rods and jags to match up for a snug, consistent fit across their lineup.
