The Primos TSS JellyHead is a purpose-built turkey choke made to get the most out of today's Tungsten Super Shot loads in a .410 bore. If you've moved to a .410 turkey setup for the light recoil and reach of TSS, a dedicated choke like this is what actually turns those tiny, super-dense pellets into a lethal, tight pattern. It runs a .390 constriction and threads into Remington-style Rem Choke barrels.
TSS pellets are nearly twice as dense as lead, so a smaller pellet keeps more energy and speed way out past where old-school lead ran out of steam. The JellyHead is calibrated to work with that density, stripping the wad cleanly and stacking pellets into a uniform core so more of them land in the kill zone. The result is a super-tight, even pattern that gives you the confidence to reach out on a hung-up bird.
This is an extended, ported steel choke finished in Black-T, the same protective coating used to fight rust and corrosion in rough conditions. The extended, knurled end lets you thread it in and back it out by hand, so you're not digging for a wrench in the truck. It's a durable piece that holds up to a season of damp mornings and dusty blinds.
Clean the muzzle threads and the choke before installing, add a little choke tube grease, and hand-tighten only without cross-threading. While it's tuned around TSS, it also patterns well with HEVI-Shot, copper-plated, and lead shot. One thing worth knowing up front: the JellyHead line is not made to run steel shot, so keep those loads out of it. Do yourself a favor and pattern your gun at a few distances to find where your setup shines.
This choke is threaded for Remington-style Rem Choke .410 barrels, so it fits shotguns using that thread pattern. If you're unsure which thread system your barrel uses, check your owner's manual or the choke that came with the gun. Primos also makes JellyHead versions for other thread patterns, so match the choke to your specific barrel.
