This 10.5" complete upper is chambered in .223 Rem/5.56 NATO, wrapped in a 9" free-float M-LOK Renegade rail, and finished in black hard coat anodize over an aluminum receiver. It's a purpose-built short-barrel setup that pairs a compact profile with the kind of upgrades POF is known for, and it drops cleanly onto any standard mil-spec lower.
The heart of the design is POF's approach to the parts of a DI gun that usually wear out first. The Dictator 9-position adjustable gas block lets you dial in gas flow whether you're switching ammo loads or running a suppressor, and the straight gas tube helps cut down on the heat buildup that plagues standard bent tubes. The patented heat sink barrel nut pulls heat away from the chamber area faster than a typical setup, and the roller cam pin swaps the usual square steel head for a nickel-coated roller that glides inside the receiver instead of grinding at it. Small changes on paper, but they add up to a smoother, longer-lasting action.
The barrel is a match-grade 4150 chrome moly vanadium blank cut with 5R rifling at a 1:8 twist, nitride heat treated inside and out for hardness and corrosion resistance. It wears a 1/2×28 threaded muzzle with a three-prong flash hider and M4 feed ramps for reliable feeding. Inside the receiver you get POF's Keylock Bolt Carrier Group, nitride heat treated with a keylock gas key, plus the ambidextrous Tomahawk charging handle so lefties and righties both get an easy grab.
With no sights installed, the Renegade+ ships optic-ready, giving you a clean flat top to set up exactly how you want. Between the tunable gas system, the compact barrel length, and POF's reliability upgrades, this is a strong foundation for a focused short-barrel or braced build.
