The .300 Blackout cartridge was made for short barrels, and POF built the Renegade+ Pistol to take full advantage of that. The 8-inch nitride heat-treated barrel burns nearly all of the powder Blackout has to offer, so you get real terminal performance out of a package that measures roughly 28 inches overall. The threaded muzzle wears an A2 flash hider from the factory, and swapping it for a suppressor takes about a minute. Once your can is on, the Dictator 9-position adjustable gas block earns its keep, letting you fine tune the gas system for subsonic loads, supersonics, or anything in between so the gun stays soft and reliable no matter what you feed it.
POF did not just slap a short barrel on a standard AR and call it a day. The Keylock bolt carrier group is nitride treated and rides on a roller cam pin, which smooths out the carrier's travel and cuts down on wear inside the upper. A straight gas tube reduces heat buildup where standard tubes tend to suffer, and the patented heat sink barrel nut pulls heat away from the chamber during longer strings. Down below, the Gen 4 billet lower is fully ambidextrous with an oversized integrated trigger guard, and the drop-in flat trigger breaks clean at 3.5 pounds. That is a trigger most people upgrade to, and here it comes standard.
The slim M-LOK compatible Renegade handguard keeps the profile trim with slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock for lights and accessories, while the full-length Picatinny top rail handles your optic. The ambidextrous Tomahawk charging handle and safety keep everything workable from either side, and the QD end plate makes sling mounting simple. It ships with one 30-round MFT magazine for a 30+1 capacity. For a truck gun, home setup, or a dedicated suppressor host, this is one of the more refined short Blackout builds you will find, with the kind of component quality that shows up round after round.

Yes, and that is exactly what the adjustable gas block is for. With nine gas settings you can tune the pistol to run reliably with heavy subsonic loads, light supersonics, or anything in between. Unsuppressed subsonic ammo can be finicky in any Blackout gun, so a quick gas adjustment goes a long way toward consistent cycling.
POF adds upgrades you usually pay extra for elsewhere. Most base-model ARs need several aftermarket parts to get to this level.
They are. The Gen 4 billet lower is fully ambidextrous, including the safety selector, and the Tomahawk charging handle can be run from either side. Left-handed users can operate everything without reaching over the receiver, which is a nice touch on a compact platform like this.
