The barrel is 4150 CrMoV steel with 5R rifling and a nitride heat treatment for hardness and corrosion resistance, fed by a mid-length gas system with a low profile gas block. POF machines both the upper and P-15 lower from billet aluminum, and the mil-spec bolt carrier group gets a roller cam pin for smoother cycling. Their patented E2 dual extraction technology cuts small channels into the chamber walls, which eases extraction and noticeably extends extractor life. The trigger is a single stage, straight bow drop-in unit with a clean 3.5 pound pull, the kind of trigger most folks pay extra to install after the fact. Ambidextrous controls and the Strike Eagle charging handle round out the package for left and right handed use.
The 13 inch Renegade Rail is POF's slimmest handguard, with M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock and a full top rail for optics and accessories.
