Plenty of AR pistols get built from off-the-shelf parts and a nice coat of paint. The Renegade Plus is not one of them. Patriot Ordnance Factory went after the actual weak points of the direct impingement system, and it shows everywhere on this gun. The 10.5 inch barrel is 4150 CrMoV steel with a black nitride heat treatment, a 1:8 twist with 5R rifling, and 1/2×28 muzzle threads, all wrapped in POF's slim 9 inch M-LOK Renegade rail with the patented heat sink barrel nut that pulls heat away from the chamber area where temperatures spike fastest.
The carbine length gas system wears POF's Dictator 9-position adjustable gas block, so you can dial the gun in for anything from light varmint loads to suppressed shooting without over-gassing it. A straight gas tube cuts down on heat buildup, and the nitride treated Keylock bolt carrier group carries POF's roller cam pin, which replaces the standard friction-prone cam pin with one that rolls along the inside of the upper. Little details like that add up to a noticeably smoother action and less wear over time.
The Gen 4 billet lower is fully ambidextrous, with mirrored controls for the safety, bolt release, bolt catch, and mag release, plus the Tomahawk ambi charging handle up top. The trigger is POF's flat 3.5 lb single stage drop-in unit held in place with KNS Precision anti-walk pins, and it is genuinely one of the better factory triggers you will find on any AR pistol. An anti-tilt pistol buffer tube keeps the carrier supported through its full travel, a QD end plate gives you an easy sling point, and the MFT Engage V2 grip rounds things out.
At roughly 5.9 pounds with a Burnt Bronze Cerakote finish over the receivers and rail, this is a compact, sharp-looking package that ships with one 30 round MFT magazine. Whether it lives by the bedside, rides in a truck bag, or spends weekends at the range, the Renegade Plus is built to run hard right out of the box.
Yes, and it is better set up for it than most. The 1/2×28 threaded muzzle accepts standard 5.56 suppressors and muzzle devices, and the Dictator 9-position adjustable gas block lets you turn the gas down to tame the extra back pressure a can creates. That means less gas in your face and a softer shooting gun when suppressed.

You get a roller cam pin that reduces friction in the upper, a patented heat sink barrel nut that pulls heat off the chamber, an adjustable gas block, an anti-tilt buffer tube, and a fully ambidextrous billet lower. The 3.5 lb flat match trigger with anti-walk pins is a big step up from a standard fire control group too.
Yes. The chamber is cut for 5.56×45 NATO, which safely handles both 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington ammunition. The 1:8 twist barrel stabilizes a wide range of bullet weights, so most common 55 to 77 grain loads will shoot well through it.
