These Pietta AC065 stainless steel nipples are the factory-correct replacement cones for Pietta percussion revolvers, machined with the 6×0.75mm (6×3/4) thread that Pietta uses across its lineup. They're sized for #10 caps, though as with any percussion gun, cap fit varies a bit by brand, so it pays to test a few. The stainless build shrugs off the corrosive residue that black powder and caps leave behind, which means less pitting over time and easier cleanup between range trips.
These cones drop into the popular Pietta reproductions, including the 1851 Navy, 1860 Army, 1861 Navy, 1858 Remington, and similar models running the standard 6×0.75 thread. If your revolver already wears Pietta or Italian-made nipples, these will thread right in. Worth noting: guns with a 12×28 thread, like some CVA cylinders and Ruger-pattern revolvers, use a different size, so double-check your threading before you order.
Black powder and percussion caps are brutal on steel. The stainless finish here holds up better to that corrosive fouling, and plenty of folks swap their factory nipples out specifically because the replacements hold caps more securely and look sharp doing it. Fresh nipples also mean a crisp, consistent cone for the cap to seat against, which cuts down on the misfires that come from worn or mushroomed cones, often the result of dry firing.
A six-pack gives you a complete cylinder plus a spare, which is exactly what you want when a nipple gets battered or you're stocking the range box. A dab of anti-seize on the threads makes removal for cleaning painless down the road.
