At roughly 6.3 pounds, it carries easy and swings fast, whether you're running drills or just burning through an afternoon at the range.
The barrel is where this rifle earns its keep. It's 4150 CrMoV steel with a black nitride heat treatment, 1:8 twist, and 5R rifling that stabilizes a wide range of bullet weights while cutting down on fouling. POF's E2 chamber helps kick spent cases out cleanly, and the 1/2×28 threaded muzzle wears an A2 flash hider with room to swap in whatever you like. A mid-length gas system with a low-profile nitride gas block keeps the recoil impulse soft and the cycling smooth. Inside, the mil-spec bolt carrier group runs POF's patented Roller Cam Pin, an NP3-coated roller head that rolls through the upper instead of dragging across it, which means less friction and less wear on your receiver over time.
The 15 inch M-LOK handguard gives you a full-length Picatinny rail up top and M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, so lights, slings, and hand stops bolt on without a fuss. Out back, POF's anti-tilt six-position buffer tube supports the carrier to prevent tilt and keeps the Mission First Tactical Minimalist stock from wobbling around. The hard anodized black finish shrugs off scratches and range wear.
The P-15 Base gives you the parts that matter most done right, with mil-spec compatibility everywhere else so upgrades are simple down the road. It ships with one 10-round MFT magazine and is a solid pick for range work, training, and home defense duty.
It's POF's patented upgrade to the standard AR cam pin. Instead of a fixed head scraping along the inside of the upper receiver, the NP3-coated roller head rolls through the channel as the bolt carrier cycles. That cuts friction, reduces wear on the upper over thousands of rounds, and keeps the action running smooth.
