Pachmayr didn't just slap a thicker rubber layer on this grip. The Decelerator compound itself is a proprietary rubber formulation that's significantly softer than standard pistol grip material. After years of testing different rubber combinations, Pachmayr engineered this material to absorb recoil energy more effectively than conventional grips. The patented air pocket recoil chamber works together with the soft rubber to dampen both the sharp impact and the follow-through of recoil. The grip features a deep checkered finish with finger grooves that keep your shooting hand locked in place. An ambidextrous shape means it works equally well for lefties and righties.
