The Primary Arms PLx Top Cap Reflex Mount solves a problem that anyone running an LPVO knows well: when a target pops up close and personal, you don't have time to dial down magnification. This top cap bolts directly to your PLx scope mount and sets a mini reflex sight at the 12 o'clock position, right on top of your optic. A quick lift of the head and your dot is there, ready for fast, both-eyes-open shooting inside 25 yards.
Unlike side-offset red dot setups, the piggyback style keeps your dot centered and usable no matter which shoulder you're running the rifle from. That makes it a natural fit for anyone who trains ambidextrous or shifts positions around cover. When mounted on the 30mm PLx 1.5 inch mounts, it places your red dot at a 2.04 inch height, which lines up cleanly for a natural cheek weld and head lift.
The mount is machined from 7075 aluminum with a black hardcoat anodized finish, so it shrugs off recoil, weather, and hard handling without walking off zero. It ships from Primary Arms in the USA and carries their Lifetime Warranty, which tells you they stand behind the machining. Recommended torque is 16 to 18 inch pounds on the mounting hardware, so grab a torque wrench and snug it down properly for the most consistent results.

When used on the 30mm PLx 1.5 inch mounts, it places the red dot base at a 2.04 inch height. That lets you simply raise your head off the stock to pick up the dot for close range work. It's a comfortable transition height for most shooting positions.
