The MDT ORYX Sportsman Chassis is one of the easiest ways to get more out of a factory Savage 110 short action. It drops your barreled action into a solid, one-piece 6061-T6 aluminum body with a MIL-Spec Type III hard anodized finish, giving you the kind of rigid, repeatable platform that traditional stocks just can't match. The action beds against an aluminum V-block and the barrel sits free-floated in a flat forend, so you're building consistency into the rifle before you ever touch the trigger.
Most folks upgrade to this chassis for two reasons: better fit and detachable magazines. The integrated buttstock adjusts for length of pull and comb height, so you can dial in a proper cheek weld and get your eye lined up behind the scope every time. It also runs AICS-pattern magazines, which means your internal-box Savage suddenly gains quick reloads. Keep in mind a magazine is not included, so you'll want to grab an MDT or Magpul AICS mag to go with it.
