The Oryx Sportsman chassis transforms your factory Remington 700 Long Action into a legitimate precision rifle platform without breaking the bank. With a full-length aluminum bedding block securely cradling the action and a free-floated barrel, you get the rigid foundation that drives measurable accuracy improvements over any factory stock. The action sits solid and secure, eliminating the flex and inconsistency that comes standard on factory rifles.
This chassis gives you what you actually need out of the box. The integrated buttstock adjusts from 13 to 13.5 inches of length of pull, with optional spacers adding up to 1 inch more if you need it. The cheek piece height adjusts independently, so you can dial in the perfect alignment with your scope without shims or bedding compound. An included AR-15 grip gets the job done, and you can swap it out for any standard AR-15 pattern grip to dial in your preferred angle and ergonomics.
The Oryx works with AICS-pattern magazines (3.715" length for long action), so you get detachable box magazine reliability from a factory blind-mag rifle. M-LOK slots run underneath the forend for adding a bipod or other accessories. The chassis accepts ARCA rails if you want to set up on a tripod for hunting or competition work. Installation takes two socket-head cap screws—no bedding required. You can have this installed and shooting in under 30 minutes.

No. The Oryx is a drop-in conversion that requires only removing your barreled action from your factory stock, dropping it into the Oryx, and tightening two socket-head cap screws. MDT provides the screws. Most people can complete installation in 15 to 30 minutes with basic hand tools and no gunsmithing or bedding required.
Yes, as long as they're true AICS pattern magazines in the appropriate length. The Remington 700 Long Action version uses 3.715-inch AICS magazines, which are the standard for magnum calibers and larger long-action cartridges. Magpul AICS magazines and MDT's own magazine options both work well in the Oryx.
Yes. The forend features M-LOK slots underneath where you can attach a bipod, light, or other M-LOK accessories. The chassis is also compatible with ARCA rails if you want to mount it to a tripod for hunting or competition use. You can customize it to your specific setup.
