Olight built the PL-MINI2 Valkyrie for folks who want serious light output without bolting a brick to the front of their pistol. It throws 600 lumens out to roughly 100 meters using a Cree XP-L HD cool white LED behind a TIR optic lens, which puts a bright, usable hotspot on a target while still spilling enough light to read the whole room. The headline feature is the patented adjustable sliding rail. Instead of fussing with rail keys and shims, you slide the adapter forward or back to line the light up on your specific pistol, then lock the swing arm lever down for a solid, no-wobble fit. The Valkyrie runs on a built-in lithium battery and tops off through Olight's signature magnetic charging cable, which snaps right onto the base and can charge while the light stays mounted. The body is aircraft-grade aluminum with an IPX6 waterproof rating, so it shrugs off rain, sweat, and the usual knocks that come with real range time.
Controls are dead simple. Ambidextrous paddle switches sit right where your trigger finger falls, so a quick press gives you constant-on and a press-and-hold gives you momentary light. It ships ready for Glock-style rails with the insert already installed, and a Picatinny insert comes in the box so you can swap over in a minute. Worth noting for anyone upgrading from the original PL-Mini: your old holsters won't fit the 2, so plan on picking up a holster cut for this model.

It comes set up for Glock-style rails out of the box and includes a Picatinny insert for 1913 rails. You just slide the adapter to line it up on your frame and lock the swing arm down for a snug fit.
It charges through Olight's magnetic cable that snaps onto the base of the light. You can leave the light on your pistol while it charges, so there's no need to remove it or pop out a battery. A red low-battery indicator lets you know when it's time to top off.
For indoor and close-range use, 600 lumens is plenty. It lights up an entire room easily and is bright enough to disorient anyone on the receiving end. The 100-meter throw also gives you reach outdoors if you need to identify something at distance.
No, holsters made for the original PL-Mini won't fit the PL-MINI2 since the shape changed. You'll want a holster specifically cut for the PL-MINI2. Plenty of holster makers offer models sized for this light, so options aren't hard to find.
