Description
Most NAA mini revolvers make you pull the whole cylinder out of the frame to reload. The Sidewinder fixes that. Its swing-out cylinder pivots to the right on a crane, just like a full-size revolver, so you can pop it open at half-cock, run the ejector, and drop in five fresh rounds of .22 Magnum without juggling loose parts. For a gun this small, that is a big quality of life upgrade, and it is the main reason the Sidewinder has become a favorite in the NAA lineup.
The Folding Holster Grip Changes How You Carry It
This version swaps the standard bird's head grip for NAA's folding Holster Grip, and it is a clever piece of engineering. The rugged high-impact polymer sheath folds up against the bottom of the gun like a pocketknife, covering the trigger and turning the whole revolver into a slim, clip-equipped package you can tuck into a pocket or waistband. When you need it, the grip snaps open and locks into place, giving you a full-size gripping surface that makes this little five-shooter noticeably easier to control than the bare frame. The clip is ambidextrous, so lefties are covered too.
Sidewinder .22 Mag Build and Handling
The whole gun is stainless steel and finished the way NAA has built its reputation on, with tight fitting and clean machining throughout. The 1.125 inch barrel wears a simple fixed post front sight, the single action lockwork is straightforward and reliable, and the cylinder has the classic NAA safety notches between chambers. Rest the hammer nose in one of those notches and you can carry all five chambers loaded with the firing pin resting safely off any rim.
At just 6.2 ounces, this is the kind of gun that disappears until you need it. It works well as a deep concealment backup, a tackle box or trail companion, or simply a fun little wheelgun that puts a grin on your face at the range. If you want the smallest .22 Magnum revolver that still reloads like a grown-up gun and grips like one too, this is the one to grab.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the Sidewinder different from other NAA mini revolvers?
The big difference is the swing-out cylinder. Standard NAA minis require you to remove the entire cylinder from the frame to load and unload, while the Sidewinder's cylinder swings out to the right on a crane with a spring-loaded ejector. It makes loading and unloading much quicker and means you are not handling loose parts every time you reload.
How does the Holster Grip on this Sidewinder work?
The Holster Grip is a high-impact polymer sheath that folds up against the bottom of the revolver like a closed pocketknife, covering the trigger for carry. When you draw, it folds open and locks in place to become a full-size grip that gives you a much better hold than the bare frame. It also has an ambidextrous clip so it works clipped into a pocket or waistband for right or left handed carry.
Can the NAA Sidewinder be carried with all five chambers loaded?
Yes. Like all NAA mini revolvers, the Sidewinder has safety notches machined into the cylinder between the chambers. Resting the hammer nose in one of these notches keeps the firing pin completely off any cartridge rim, so you can safely carry it fully loaded.
Will this Sidewinder model also shoot .22 LR?
Not out of the box. This particular model, NAA-SW-HG, is a .22 Magnum only configuration. NAA does offer Sidewinder conversion models that ship with a second .22 LR cylinder if you want the flexibility to run cheaper ammo for practice.
