No, this particular model is chambered in .22 WMR only and ships with a single 5-shot cylinder. NAA does offer Black Widow configurations that include a second .22 LR cylinder for cheaper practice sessions, so if that matters to you, look for the convertible version. This one keeps it simple with magnum only.
Yes, thanks to NAA's cylinder safety slots. The cylinder has notches machined between the chambers, and resting the hammer in one of those slots keeps it completely off any cartridge. Most .22 WMR ammo is loaded for rifle-length barrels and loses a fair bit of velocity out of a 2 inch tube. Loads designed for short barrels, like Hornady Critical Defense 45 grain FTX and Speer Gold Dot Short Barrel 40 grain, are built for exactly this kind of revolver and perform noticeably better. For plinking, standard CCI Maxi-Mag runs fine.
