The Nordic Components 22RB is one of the cleaner ways to get into rimfire without buying a whole second rifle. It's a complete upper that drops onto any standard AR-pattern lower, turning your existing setup into a dedicated .22 LR that keeps the familiar look, feel, and balance of a centerfire AR. Nordic builds it from the same materials found on most standard AR-15 rifles, so it doesn't feel like a toy conversion. It handles like the real thing, just with cheaper ammo and almost no recoil.
At the heart of it is a 16" match-grade stainless steel barrel with a 1:16 twist, which is the sweet spot for common .22 LR loads. That barrel adds up to a nice, accurate plinker and small-game setup that's genuinely fun to run all day. The whole assembly comes in around 3 lbs 12 oz, so it's light and easy to swing. You get an aluminum upper receiver, a slim aluminum handguard, a stainless steel bolt, plus the charging handle and bolt carrier group, so it arrives ready to shoot right out of the box.

The barrel threads are done to the proper spec for most popular .22 suppressors, and there's a mortise machined behind the threads to clear the O-rings some suppressor designs use. The kit includes a 10-round Black Dog magazine and a Black Dog Machine bolt saver that holds the bolt carrier in place when the upper is off the lower.
