Factory sights on the VP9 and P30 do the job, but plenty of H&K owners want something that jumps out faster in low light and still tracks well in daylight. This Night Fision set answers that with a yellow-outlined front dot paired to a black U-notch rear, both driven by Swiss tritium so the reference points glow on their own once the lights drop. The yellow front is a favorite for quick pickup because it draws the eye straight to the top of the front blade without a bunch of extra dots pulling your focus.
Most tritium sights hold their vials in an aluminum sleeve and rely on a painted-on white ring. Night Fision molds the ring right onto the sight instead, which creates a brighter, more durable outline they call the Perfect Dot. A domed lens over the vial helps concentrate the tritium glow into a cleaner point of light, so the front sight reads sharp rather than fuzzy in the dark. The bodies are CNC machined from steel and finished in black nitride for solid wear and corrosion resistance, which matters on a carry gun that lives in a holster.
The blacked-out U-notch rear is a deliberate choice. With no competing dots back there, your eye locks onto that glowing yellow front and the U shape naturally cradles the front sight for fast, repeatable alignment. It is a setup a lot of defensive and duty shooters lean on because it keeps things simple when speed counts, while still giving you enough precision for tighter shots.
This set is cut for the standard, non-optic H&K lineup including the VP9, VP9SK, P30, P30L, P30SK, .45C and .45C Tactical. If your pistol has a factory optic cut, you will want an optics-ready height sight instead. Installation is gunsmith recommended since a proper sight pusher and correct fitting make for a clean, no-drama swap.
This set is cut for the standard non-optic H&K models including the VP9, VP9SK, P30, P30L, P30SK, .45C and .45C Tactical. It is not intended for pistols with a factory optic cut. If your slide is milled for a red dot, you will want an optics-ready height version instead.
These are standard-height sights, so they are not tall enough to co-witness through most pistol optics. If you are running or planning to run a red dot, look for the suppressor or optics-ready height sights designed to clear the optic. For an iron-sights-only setup, this set is a great fit.
