The .300 Winchester Magnum has been reaching past a thousand yards for decades, but it almost always shows up in a bolt gun. NEMO Arms built the OMEN platform to change that, and the Match 3.0 is the version tuned for pure precision work. It slots in between NEMO's Watchman and Recon models, with a 22 inch barrel that splits the velocity difference between the 24 and 18 inch options. You keep most of the long-barrel ballistics without hauling around quite as much rifle.
That barrel is the heart of this rifle. It starts life as a Bartlein blank, a name that needs no introduction in the long range world, then gets NEMO's custom chamber and profile cut into 416R stainless with a 1:8 twist and 5R rifling. Feeding it is NEMO's patented recoil reduction bolt carrier, and up front a dual chamber titanium muzzle brake knocks the .300 Win Mag's push down to something closer to a soft-shooting .308. That combination is what makes a semi-auto magnum genuinely usable for follow-up shots instead of just tolerable.
NEMO didn't cut corners on the parts you touch. The trigger is a Geissele SSA-E, a two-stage favorite for precision semi-autos with a crisp, predictable break. The Magpul PRS buttstock adjusts for length of pull and comb height so you can build a proper cheek weld behind big glass, and a Magpul MIAD grip plus ambi safety round out the controls. Billet 7075-T6 receivers and the 15 inch M-LOK handguard all wear a Tungsten Cerakote finish, with titanium takedown pins as a nice touch.
The adjustable gas block lets you dial the system in for different ammunition or suppressed use, which matters when you're chasing consistency from a gas gun in a magnum chambering. At 11.2 pounds it settles nicely on a bipod or barricade, right at home in long range matches or anywhere a fast second shot on big game earns its keep. Ships with a 14 round NEMO polymer magazine.
Much milder than you'd expect. NEMO's patented recoil reduction bolt carrier works together with the dual chamber titanium muzzle brake to soak up the magnum impulse, and the felt recoil ends up softer than a typical .308 gas gun. That's a big part of why this rifle works so well for fast follow-up shots at distance.
Barrel length is the main split. The Watchman runs a 24 inch barrel and the Recon an 18, while the Match 3.0's 22 inch tube lands in between, keeping most of the longer barrel's velocity in a slightly handier package. Core features like the recoil reduction carrier, billet receivers, and adjustable gas system carry across the OMEN family.
