The 22 ARC cartridge was built to push heavy, high-BC .224 bullets fast and flat, and NEMO Arms gave it a platform that does the round justice. The Battle-Light BL-22ARC-20SS starts with a 20-inch 416R stainless steel barrel in a 1:7 twist, which is exactly what you want for stabilizing the long-for-caliber bullets that make this cartridge shine at distance. A rifle-length gas system keeps the cycle smooth, and the NEMO DC-1 titanium dual chamber muzzle device tames what little recoil there is so you can watch your own hits through the scope.
NEMO machines the matched upper and lower receiver set in-house from 7075-T6 billet aluminum, and the fit shows it. Controls are fully ambidextrous, covering the safety selector, magazine release, bolt release, and charging handle, so left-handed folks get the same experience as everyone else. The bolt is 9310 steel that has been heat treated, cryo'd, shot peened, and magnetic particle inspected, then coated in Nickel Boron along with the carrier for slick cycling and easy cleanup. Titanium takedown and pivot pins and a heat-dissipating barrel nut round out the details most builders skip.
The furniture is where this rifle makes its intentions clear. A Magpul PRS Lite stock gives you adjustable comb height and length of pull for a proper cheek weld behind bigger glass, and the Magpul MIAD grip lets you dial in the fit of your firing hand. The flat TriggerTech trigger breaks clean and resets short, a genuine upgrade over the mil-spec units most factory rifles ship with. Up top, a full-length Picatinny rail sits ready for your optic, and the 15-inch M-LOK handguard has room for a bipod, sling mounts, and whatever else your setup calls for.
At 8.4 pounds with a 40-inch overall length, this is a rifle for prairie dog towns, coyote stands, and long steel plates rather than a truck gun. It ships with a 10-round magazine and a NEMO-branded double rifle range bag, and it is backed by a limited lifetime warranty. The Sage Gray finish looks sharp without shouting, which fits this rifle's whole personality.
The 22 ARC was designed to launch heavy, high-BC .224 caliber bullets at impressive velocities from an AR-15 sized platform. That makes it a standout for varmint and predator hunting, plus long-range steel and target work where wind drift matters. Think of it as a flat-shooting upgrade over .223 that still runs in a small-frame AR.
Yes. The 20-inch barrel uses a fast 1:7 twist, which handles the long, heavy-for-caliber projectiles the 22 ARC was built around, including popular 75 to 88 grain match and hunting loads. That twist rate is a big part of why this rifle performs so well at extended distances.
The 20-inch stainless barrel is threaded and comes fitted with NEMO's DC-1 titanium dual chamber muzzle device. You can remove the DC-1 and attach a suppressor or your preferred muzzle device. It is a nice setup for shooters who plan to run quiet on varmint fields.
It is one of the better options out there for lefties. The billet receiver set includes a fully ambidextrous safety selector, magazine release, and bolt release, plus an ambidextrous charging handle. Everything you need to run the rifle is mirrored on both sides.
