The NcSTAR MagPopper takes all of that out of the equation. It's a compact steel tool built for one job, and it does that job well, turning a frustrating chore into a few-second task.

Using it is about as simple as it gets. You hook the small lever into the front of the floorplate, brace the body of the tool against the magazine, and give it a gentle one-hand squeeze. The floorplate slides forward and unlocks from the side tabs with very little effort, and from there you can pull the locking plate, spring, and follower out for cleaning or a spring swap. Just remember those internals are under spring tension, so keep a thumb on the floorplate as it releases.

What the MagPopper Fits

The MagPopper works with most factory Glock flat floorplates and handles 10-round, standard capacity, and high capacity mags. It's a great match for the G17, G19, G26, and the rest of the double-stack lineup. Worth noting: the extended pinky floorplate on the G42 sits at a steeper angle that fights the leverage, so this one isn't the tool for those.
