Both the front and rear pockets are sized for 11" x 14" plates, which is the extended armor format. It works with hard plates or soft armor inserts in that size. If you're running standard 10×12 plates, you'd want the MED-2XL version of this carrier instead.
The laser-cut slots are cut directly into the panel instead of using sewn-on nylon webbing straps. That keeps the carrier flush and low-profile when nothing is attached, and it reduces snag points on your gear. You still get standard PALS spacing, so your MOLLE pouches and accessories attach the same way.
