The 6.5 Creedmoor chambering is the obvious pick here, with mild recoil, great factory ammo options, and plenty of reach for steel way out past a thousand yards.
MPA built its reputation on chassis work, and the BA Hybrid is machined from 6061 aluminum with a V-bedding design that self-centers the action, so there is no pillar bedding project waiting for you. Length of pull adjusts from 13.75 to 15 inches, the cheek riser is adjustable, and there is a built-in inclinometer so you can level up and confirm your cant before a stage. It sits flat on bags and barricades the way a comp rifle should, and the black Cerakote finish takes range abuse in stride.
The polished stainless barrel wears a heavy match contour with a 1:8 twist that stabilizes the long, high-BC 6.5mm bullets this cartridge is known for. It feeds from AICS-pattern short action magazines and includes one 10-round mag from the factory. That is the most common precision rifle magazine pattern out there, so spares from Magpul, MDT, and Accurate-Mag are easy to find and reasonably priced.
