The 6.5 PRC has earned its keep as a long-range hunting cartridge, pushing high-BC bullets fast enough to stay supersonic well past 1,000 yards while keeping recoil civil. The Patriot Predator gives that cartridge a proper home: a 24-inch free-floating barrel with a 1:8 twist that stabilizes the heavy 140 to 147 grain bullets the PRC was built around. The barrel wears straight-edge fluting to shave weight, a matte blue finish, and 5/8×24 muzzle threads with an included cap, so adding a suppressor or brake is a five-minute job.
Under the hood is Mossberg's twin-lug, push-feed machined steel action feeding from a flush-fit 4-round polymer box magazine that drops free when it's time to reload or unload. The spiral-fluted bolt runs smooth, and the oversized handle is easy to grab with cold fingers or gloves on.
