This little polymer insert does one job and does it cleanly: it turns a short-action Mossberg Patriot into a single-shot rifle. You pull the standard drop-box magazine, slide the Single Shot Sled into its place, and the rifle can only hold one round in the chamber. There is no spring or follower to fuss with, and the whole thing is a one-piece design, so there is nothing to fumble in the field or lose in your pack.

What the Patriot Single Shot Sled Actually Does

Mossberg built this sled as a factory-authorized part specifically for short-action Patriot rifles. It works across the short-action chamberings in the current lineup, including 6.5 Creedmoor, .22-250 Rem, .243 Win, 7mm-08 Rem, .308 Win, 350 Legend, 400 Legend, and 450 Bushmaster. That MULTI-FIT design means one part covers a lot of Patriots, so you do not have to match it to a specific caliber. Worth noting: it is not compatible with the Patriot LR Tactical.
