The GBRS Group Modular Chest Rig (M.C.R.) chest plate is the foundation of one of the most adaptable load-carrying systems out there, and this is the HVY version in Ranger Green. Where the standard LTE plate keeps things trim for 5.56 and pistol mags, the HVY plate opens up a wider footprint made to run bigger, wider pouches. If you're building around a .308 or 7.62 setup, this is the plate you want anchoring your rig.
This plate is laser cut from Squadron 500/1000 Laminate and reinforced at the mounting points with 8-Layer Tegris thermoplastic, so it holds its shape and shrugs off hard use without adding bulk. The front face works with all standard MOLLE weave velcro, button, and tab pouches, meaning you can mount mag pouches, admin panels, medical gear, or a holster placard and rearrange it whenever the job changes. It ships with ITW 1" GTSR latch hardware and MILSPEC 0 grommets, the same quality components GBRS uses across the whole M.C.R. line.
The whole idea behind the M.C.R. is that you're not locked into a fixed layout. The system uses bridges, "I" Joints, and "W" Joints to connect the chest plate to shoulder straps, a back plate, and lower back strap, so you build the rig around your body and your mission instead of the other way around. This chest plate is the core piece of that puzzle. Pair it with the other M.C.R. components and joints to run it as a full chest rig, or swap plates down the road as your loadout evolves.
