The Clever Mirage Grand Italia T3 is one of those loads with a real pedigree behind it. This 12 gauge target shell pushes a 1oz payload of #7.5 shot out of a 2-3/4" hull at 1220 FPS, and it's made in Italy with the kind of attention to detail that competition shooters notice downrange. Clever's T3 line sits at the top of their Mirage family, and it's been the shell behind Olympic medals, World and European Championship titles, and plenty of hardware at tournaments across the globe.
The big story here is the shot itself. The T3 uses extra-hard lead loaded with 6% antimony, which is a higher antimony content than you'll find in Clever's entry-level loads. That hardness matters because harder pellets resist deforming as they travel down the bore and through the choke, so they hold their round shape and fly truer. The payoff is denser, more even patterns that break targets cleanly instead of chipping them. Pair that with a clean-burning powder charge and you get a load that feels consistent from the first box to the last.
At 1220 FPS with a 1oz load of #7.5 shot, this is a versatile target round that covers a lot of ground. It's right at home on American trap, Olympic bunker, skeet, double trap, and sporting clays stations where you want pattern density and a bit of reach. The #7.5 shot size is a solid all-around pick for most clay games, giving you enough pellets to fill a pattern while still carrying good energy out to the longer presentations.
These ship 25 rounds per box. If you run a lot of clays, the Grand Italia T3 is the kind of shell that earns its spot in the bag once you see how it patterns out of your gun.
The T3 Grand Italia uses extra-hard lead shot with 6% antimony content, which is notably harder than the shot in Clever's entry-level T1 and T2 lines. Harder pellets deform less as they pass through the bore and choke, so they hold their shape and pattern tighter. It's Clever's top competition line, which is why you see it in the hands of world cup and Olympic shooters.
This 1oz #7.5 load at 1220 FPS is a versatile target round that works well for American trap, Olympic bunker, skeet, double trap, and sporting clays. The #7.5 shot size gives you a good balance of pattern density and downrange energy, making it a reliable all-around choice for most clay disciplines.
Each box holds 25 rounds. It's a standard target-load box count, so it's easy to grab a few boxes for a round of trap or skeet and know exactly how many shells you're bringing to the line.
Yes, this load uses a standard 2-3/4" (70mm) 12 gauge hull, so it runs in any 12 gauge shotgun chambered for 2-3/4" or longer shells. It's a target load, not a heavy magnum, so recoil stays manageable for high-volume clay shooting.
