The 16-inch lightweight profile barrel wears a Melonite finish for corrosion resistance and long service life, and the .223 Wylde chamber lets you run both 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington while squeezing better accuracy out of each. The 1:8 twist stabilizes everything from lightweight varmint loads up to heavier 77 grain match bullets, so you are not locked into one ammo type. A mid-length gas system over the .625 diameter barrel smooths out the recoil impulse noticeably compared to carbine-length setups, which makes fast follow-up shots easier and keeps the gun pleasant over long range sessions.
Up front you get the MI-CRM15 Combat Series free-float handguard with M-LOK slots for lights, grips, and sling mounts wherever you want them. The 15-inch length covers nearly the full barrel, giving you plenty of real estate for a full extension grip. Out back, a Magpul CTR six-position stock and MOE grip handle the ergonomics, and the heavy duty QD end plate gives you a solid sling attachment point right out of the box.
