The AK platform has always been tough to mount glass on, and short-barreled Krink builds make it even trickier. Midwest Industries built the AK Alpha Krink Railed Top Cover to solve that problem the right way. Instead of a wobbly rail that shifts under recoil, this top cover anchors to your MI Alpha Krink handguard using two aluminum struts and a 4140 steel locking block, creating a lockup rigid enough to hold zero on a red dot or magnified optic. Best part is you don't have to drill, weld, or permanently alter your rifle to run it.
The top cover and stability struts are machined from hard coat anodized 6061 aluminum, so you get a light but stiff platform that shrugs off the elements. The full Picatinny rail runs the length of the cover, and there's an integrated rear iron sight so you can go optic-only or keep a backup irons setup. A dedicated recoil spring button comes designed specifically for this cover, which keeps your action cycling right after the swap.
What sets this system apart is the patented return-to-zero design. Pull the cover to clean or service the rifle, drop it back on, and your optic stays sighted in. That's a big deal on any AK, where traditional dust cover mounts are notorious for shifting. The rigid lockup also keeps dust and grit from working their way into the action, which is exactly what you want on a hard-use blaster.

No permanent modifications to the firearm are required, so you can always return your rifle to stock form if you want. You will need to install your MI Alpha Krink handguard first, since the top cover can't be mounted at the same time. Removing the factory dust cover does involve drilling or pinching out the rivet holding it in place.
