The Shield EZ 9 is one of the easiest-shooting carry guns out there, and this Mission First Tactical rig gives it a home that keeps up with however you like to carry. This is an ambidextrous shell you can run appendix, inside the waistband, or outside the waistband, so you're not buying three separate holsters to cover different outfits and seasons. It's molded specifically to the Shield EZ 9 for a snug, rattle-free fit right out of the package.
MFT builds these from .08 Boltaron, a tougher cousin to standard Kydex that shrugs off impact and holds its shape through years of daily use. The design keeps a low profile against the body, and the included 1.5-inch belt clip has a longer tooth so it bites down and stays put on both thin and thick belts. Cant is adjustable from 0 to 15 degrees, letting you dial in the exact draw angle that feels natural for your body and carry position.
Retention is adjustable and passive, so you get that famous audible click when the gun seats. You'll hear and feel it lock in, which builds real confidence when you re-holster. The shell is sculpted for an RMR-style red dot and runs a tall sight channel with an open muzzle, so a slide-mounted optic or a threaded barrel clears without a problem. There's an abbreviated sweat guard to keep the grip accessible while still protecting the slide.
Every one of these is laser CAD designed then molded, trimmed, assembled, and buffed by hand at MFT's facility in the States. Quality screws, rivets, and hardware hold it all together, and it's backed by a lifetime warranty. If you want to run it strictly outside the waistband, MFT sells a Comfort Carry Paddle separately that swaps in for the belt clip.
Yes, this is a true multi-position shell. It works for appendix (AIWB), regular inside the waistband, and outside the waistband carry. The ambidextrous design also lets you set it up for right or left hand, so one holster covers a lot of ground.
