The CAA MCK Gen2 takes a compatible Glock and wraps it in a lightweight polymer chassis that gives you two extra points of contact, a full-length top rail, and a folding brace arm. The whole idea here is speed and simplicity. You lock your pistol into the kit without breaking it down, and you've got a compact platform that shoots far more like a PDW than a handgun. It's built to reach out to around 200 yards while keeping things stable and controllable, which is a big jump from running your Glock bare.
This is the improved second-generation kit, and the upgrades matter. The extended stabilizer lets you fire while it's folded and locked, the rear door swings open an extra 15 degrees so seating and pulling your pistol is easier, and the charging handle makes more contact with the slide for a more reliable rack. CAA also swapped in an aluminum top Picatinny rail for better rigidity, so your optics and sights hold zero and take a beating without flexing.
The aluminum top rail runs the length of the kit for red dots, magnifiers, or backup irons, and there are side rails for lights, lasers, or thumb rests. It clears suppressor-height sights and is friendly to cans up to 1.38 inches in diameter. There's also a spare mag holder built in that runs on a proper mag catch and release button, so a reload stays right on the platform.
This version is set up for the Glock 17, 19, 19X, 22, 23, 31, 32, and 45 across Gen 3 through Gen 5, with the exception of the Gen5 22 and 23. It's American made and one of the fastest kits on the market to assemble or break back down, which is a big part of why it stays so popular with folks who want carbine handling without buying a whole new firearm.
This kit is set up for the Glock 17, 19, 19X, 22, 23, 31, 32, and 45 in Gen 3, 4, and 5. The one thing to watch is that it does not fit the Gen5 Glock 22 or Gen5 Glock 23. If you run one of the covered models, your pistol drops right in without any modifications.
