The MDT Lone Peak Razor is a short action built for anyone putting together a serious precision rifle from the receiver up. Set up right-handed with a .308 bolt face, it's the sweet spot for popular short-action rounds like 6.5 Creedmoor, 6mm Creedmoor, .308 Win, and the rest of that family. Lone Peak has been machining custom actions since 2014, and MDT picked up the brand to fold it into their precision component lineup, so you're getting a proven design with fresh backing.
The receiver is cut from pre-hardened 416R stainless steel with raceways carved by wire EDM to keep tolerances tight and consistent. Feeding that is a one-piece fluted bolt made from 4340 chrome-moly with a nitride finish for extra hardness and corrosion resistance. Extraction runs through a mini M-16 style extractor paired with a plunger ejector, and a lightweight firing pin trims lock time for quicker, more repeatable ignition. The 75-degree bolt throw shortens the lift you need, which clears bulky optics and helps you stay on target between rounds.
Because it runs the Remington 700 footprint, this action plays nice with the huge aftermarket of stocks, chassis, triggers, bottom metal, and pre-fit barrels already out there. The magazine well is cut for Wyatt extended boxes and works with standard Remington boxes too, giving you room to run BDL or DBM setups with AICS-pattern magazines. A side bolt release, integrated recoil lug, and a pinned-and-screwed rail interface round it out, so you can run a full rail, a two-piece setup, or direct-mount rings depending on the build.
