Each TIMBR Core is hand-crafted from solid walnut, so the grain, color, and finish on yours will be completely unique. That wood exterior isn't just for looks either. Wood naturally absorbs recoil vibration better than synthetic materials, giving you a noticeably softer, more stable shot that translates to faster follow-ups and easier trace spotting downrange.
Underneath that smooth walnut finish sits an aluminum V-block bedding system that locks your action in place with mechanical precision. No epoxy needed, no gunsmith required, no guesswork. Drop your Tikka action and bottom metal into the stock, torque two screws, and you're done. The V-block geometry ensures consistent action fit and repeatable groups shot after shot, whether conditions shift from cold mornings to hot afternoons.
MDT took everything it learned from building competition rifle chassis and applied it to the TIMBR Core's design. The refined grip angle, adjustable length of pull spacers, and improved geometry make this stock genuinely comfortable to shoot without losing that traditional sporter profile. Adjustable LOP runs from 13.6 to 14.6 inches using included 1/4-inch spacers that install with just an Allen key. Integrated QD sling studs are built in for bipod attachment or carry strap mounting, whether you're hiking in or setting up at the range.
The oversized forend channel accommodates heavier barrel profiles without modification, and the free-floating design keeps barrel harmonics consistent for improved accuracy.
No. The integrated V-block bedding system is pre-machined and ready to use. Simply install your action and bottom metal, torque the screws, and you're done. No epoxy bedding or gunsmithing is required.
The stock requires separate bottom metal and is compatible with MDT Core, Hunting, or Precision bottom metal options. It will also accept any Badger M5 profile bottom metal. The stock alone does not include bottom metal.
Yes. The LOP spacers are a proven design from MDT's competition-level chassis systems. They use simple 1/4-inch removable pieces that adjust pull from 13.6 to 14.6 inches, and they're locked in place by the stock screws so there's no shifting or movement once set.
Absolutely. The forend is designed with an oversized barrel channel to accommodate heavy barrels including profiles as large as the Proof Sendero. The aluminum chassis inside prevents flex regardless of barrel weight, keeping accuracy consistent.
