The MDT Tactical LSS Gen3 is built around one core principle: flexibility without compromise. This is a chassis system designed to adapt to whatever you throw at it, whether you're running your truck gun, setting up for serious range work, or dialing in a platform that does a little bit of everything. It's got that AR-15 feel you know and trust, but it's mated to bolt-action accuracy and reliability.
The tactical forend isn't just for looks. It features M-LOK slots across all five faces, giving you mounting points for bipods, lights, slings, weights, and whatever else your build needs. The enclosed design means zero flex and absolute durability when you're running accessories. A top-mounted Picatinny rail handles night vision or thermal clip-ons if your mission requires it. At 13.7 inches long, you get plenty of real estate for gear without making the setup unwieldy. The barricade stop is integrated right in, so you've got a solid reference point when you're working barriers or shooting from tight positions.
The Skeleton Carbine Stock gives you toolless control over your length of pull, cheek height, and rubber buttpad position. This level of adjustability matters when you're cycling through different shooting positions or trying to dial in comfort for your particular setup. The angled Elite Pistol Grip has a soft overmold that won't slip in your hand, and it's compatible with standard AR-style grips if you want to swap it out later. Everything is ambidextrous where it matters, and the mag latch that ships with it works with both standard MDT magazines and the industry-standard AICS pattern.
The core chassis is 6061 aluminum with a durable Cerakote finish. The action beds on an aluminum V-block for solid support without requiring any gunsmithing. The Tactical version is built for maximum versatility with a longer forend, full M-LOK coverage, a top Picatinny rail, and the adjustable Skeleton Carbine Stock. It's heavier and more feature-rich than the Worker kit, but still maintains the same modular platform as the Competitor kit. The Tactical specifically prioritizes accessory mounting and durability for duty, hunting, and range applications.

Want to go from a tactical configuration to a hunting setup? Just change the forend. Need a different stock for better ergonomics? Attach a new one. This is one of the core features of the entire system.
The Tactical LSS Gen3 is compatible with AICS-pattern magazines and MDT polymer magazines. It ships with an ambidextrous mag latch, and the design also supports the MDT Adjustable Mag Latch if you want to upgrade down the line.
The kit includes the center chassis, buttstock, stock adapter, grip, forend, and mag latch. However, you'll need to fit it to your Savage long action barreled action. MDT provides a setup manual with clear instructions, and it requires no gunsmithing since the aluminum V-block bedding handles action support. Once fitted, the system is ready to go.
