MDT built the LSS Gen3 Competitor around a simple idea: give competitors a finished, match-ready foundation without making them piece one together part by part. It arrives configured with the center base for your short-action Tikka T3 or T3X, a buttstock interface, an adjustable buttstock, an AR-15-pattern grip, and the wide Competition Forend. Everything is finished in black Cerakote over aluminum, so it looks the part on the line and holds up to season after season of hard use.

What Makes the Competitor Kit Shine at a Match

The standout piece here is that flat, wide Competition Forend with a full integrated ARCA rail running its length. That means you can slide a bipod, tripod head, or barricade support anywhere along the rail and lock it down fast. The wider, flatter profile gives you a bigger, more predictable contact patch on barricades and props, which is exactly what you want when the clock is running and you are jumping between positions on a stage.

Zero-Retention Modularity You Can Rely On

The real trick of the Gen3 platform is that your barreled action stays mated to the center base at all times. You can swap the forend, buttstock, or grip without ever pulling the action, so your zero rides along untouched. Set it up heavy for a match on Saturday, strip it down lighter for a different use later, and you never have to burn range time re-zeroing. The buttstock brings toolless length-of-pull adjustment and a cheek riser you can move around to fit your hold and optic height.

Installation is refreshingly straightforward. There is no bedding and no gunsmithing involved. You drop in the barreled action, torque the screws to spec, and head to the range. MDT even tucks the tools you need into the box, which is a nice touch if you are building your first chassis. It comes ready to run right away, but stays fully open to weights, bridges, and other add-ons whenever you want to keep tuning it to your style.
