The MDT ESS Chassis in Flat Dark Earth is one of the most ergonomic and adjustable chassis MDT has ever built, and this version is cut specifically for the left-hand Tikka T3 short action. Drop your barreled action in, torque it down, and you have a rigid, modern platform that shooting off bags, bipods, and barricades feels natural on. MDT went as far as carving the shape out of foam during development to dial in how it sits in your hands, and it shows in every contour from the octagonal forend to the wide thumb shelves on both sides.
At the heart of it is MDT's V-block bedding system, which gives the action a solid, repeatable base that helps tighten up your groups. The recoil lug mortise clears most aftermarket lugs up to 0.375 inches, and the trigger area is opened up to accept most aftermarket triggers, so building the rifle out the way you want is straightforward. A semi-flush ambidextrous magazine paddle runs down the AICS-pattern magwell, letting you dump and swap mags with either hand without hunting for the release.
The included buttstock is fully adjustable for length of pull and cheek height using thumb wheels, with the buttpad adjustable for height and cant so you can line up cleanly behind your optic. It ships with the MDT pistol grip already mounted, but the interface takes just about any non-beavertail AR-pattern grip if you have a favorite. The 15-inch enclosed M-LOK forend gives you flat surfaces to grip, QD cup points, and slots all around for bipods, sling hardware, and weights.
Machined from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum with a Cerakote finish, the ESS runs in the neighborhood of 4.5 pounds bare depending on how you configure it, and the whole thing is built to shrug off years of field and match use. For the southpaw Tikka T3 owner who wants a genuinely tunable precision platform, this is a clean, capable upgrade over a factory stock.
This version is machined specifically for the Tikka T3 short action in a left-hand configuration. Your barreled action drops straight in and secures to the V-block bedding system. It will not fit right-hand actions or other action footprints, so make sure your rifle is a left-hand Tikka T3 before ordering.
The chassis ships with the MDT pistol grip already installed, plus the buttstock, 15-inch M-LOK forend, and all the hardware you need to assemble and mount it. You will want an Allen key set on hand for installation. Magazines are not included, and the chassis runs standard AICS-pattern mags in the correct chambering for your rifle.

Yes. The 15-inch octagonal forend has M-LOK slots on multiple faces along with QD flush cup points, so bipods, sling hardware, lights, and forend weights all bolt right on. The chassis also clears most aftermarket recoil lugs and triggers if you plan to build the rifle out further.
