Description
The MDT CRBN is built for the Tikka T3X long action shooter who wants a chassis that carries well on a hunt but still holds up on a PRS or NRL Hunter stage. Instead of a heavy aluminum shell, MDT went with a foam filled carbon fiber body wrapped around a magnesium mini chassis, so you get the rigidity of a metal chassis at a fraction of the weight. The bare chassis comes in right around 27 ounces, which is noticeably lighter than most traditional stocks or aluminum chassis systems on the market. The Highland Green and Flat Dark Earth two tone finish gives it a field ready look that still stands out on the line.
Dialing In Fit On The CRBN Chassis
Comfort behind the rifle matters just as much as what is holding the barrel, and MDT built plenty of adjustment into this stock. Length of pull adjusts from 12.75 to 13.75 inches using quarter inch spacers, and the cheekpiece is quick adjustable with both an exposed knob and low profile Allen key set screws so you can lock in your eye alignment behind the scope. A 20 degree pistol grip angle and built in thumb shelf keep your hand in a natural position, whether you are shooting off a bag at the range or working around obstacles in a match.
ARCA Rail And M-LOK Setup On The Tikka T3X Chassis
The forend carries a full length integrated ARCA rail along with M-LOK slots, so you can run a tripod, bipod, or other accessories without bolting on extra hardware that adds weight. Front and rear QD sling cups make it easy to add a sling for carry in the field. The wide forend is stiff enough to resist flex, which helps you track your target and see your trace through recoil instead of watching the barrel bounce around.
Getting this chassis running on your rifle does not require a trip to the gunsmith. The action drops into a V-block bedding system that locks it into a consistent, repeatable position, and you just tighten two screws to get everything torqued down. Keep in mind this chassis does not ship with a bottom metal, so you will need to add MDT's Hunting Bottom Metal for Tikka along with an AICS pattern magazine to get feeding from a detachable box mag.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the MDT CRBN chassis for Tikka T3X come with a bottom metal or magazine?
No, this chassis ships as the stock itself without a bottom metal. You will need to add the MDT Hunting Bottom Metal made for Tikka, since that is the compatible option for this stock, along with an AICS pattern magazine sized for the Tikka long action.
Will my factory Tikka T3X magazine still work in this chassis?
Once you add the required bottom metal, the rifle switches over to AICS pattern magazines and the factory Tikka magazine will no longer fit. For long action calibers like 30-06, 270 Win, or 300 Win Mag, you will want a 3.560 inch length AICS magazine.
What calibers work with the Tikka T3X Long Action CRBN chassis?
This chassis fits any Tikka T3 or T3X built on the long action, which covers calibers such as .270 Winchester, .30-06 Springfield, 7mm Remington Magnum, and .300 Winchester Magnum. Just make sure you pair it with the correct length AICS magazine for reliable feeding.
Do I need a gunsmith to install the CRBN chassis on my Tikka?
Not at all. The action sets into the V-block bedding system and is secured with two screws, so it is a straightforward drop in job you can handle at home with basic tools.
