The MDT CRBN sits in a sweet spot a lot of hunters and long-range guys have been chasing for years: the light carry weight of a traditional stock married to the rigidity and modular features of a full chassis. Built around a magnesium micro-chassis with a V-block bedding system, this version drops right onto a right-hand Tikka T3X short action and gives you a repeatable, consistent lockup between the action and the stock. The carbon fiber shell is filled with rigid foam, which does more than shave ounces. It deadens harmonic vibration so the gun feels dead in your hands, helping you spot your own hits and stay behind the scope longer.
The fore-end runs a full-length integrated ARCA rail, so you can slide a bipod or tripod head anywhere along it without adapters, and there are M-LOK slots underneath for slings, lights, or a barricade stop. Front and rear QD sling cups are built in, and there's an integrated thumb shelf for a more repeatable grip. Because it takes AICS-pattern magazines, feeding is straightforward and you're not locked into proprietary mags.

Carbon fiber and magnesium hold up to weather and rough handling without complaint, and the finish takes rain, snow, and hard field days in stride. This specific chassis is cut for the right-hand Tikka T3X short action. It drops in with minimal fitting for a clean, custom-quality fit. If you're running a left-hand action or a long action, you'll want the matching CRBN variant instead.
The CRBN accepts AICS-pattern magazines, which are widely available and easy to source. Keep in mind that MDT recommends pairing the stock with their bottom metal, since the adjustable magazine catch on the Precision Bottom Metal helps guarantee reliable feeding with your barreled action.
The CRBN is one of the lightest chassis-style platforms out there. The stock alone runs around 27 ounces without bottom metal, and even a full setup with bottom metal stays in the 30 to 31 ounce range. That's a big weight savings over a traditional aluminum chassis, which is why it's popular with backcountry hunters and NRL Hunter shooters.
