The Faxon Match Series barrel is one of the easiest ways to squeeze more accuracy out of a Glock 43 or 43X without touching a tool beyond your normal takedown. It's machined in-house from stress-relieved 416-R stainless steel, so you're getting a match-grade blank built to hold tighter tolerances than the factory OEM barrel. That translates to a more consistent lockup and better shot-to-shot repeatability, which is exactly what you notice when you start pushing for smaller groups.
This is the non-threaded version with a straight fluted profile in a black salt bath nitride finish. The flutes shave a little weight and help the barrel shed heat during longer range sessions, while the nitride coating adds lubricity, corrosion resistance, and wear protection inside and out. It runs an 11-degree target crown to protect the rifling and keep bullet release clean and consistent, which is a big part of where the accuracy gains come from.
With a 1:10 twist and conventional rifling, this barrel plays nice with a wide range of ammo, including cast lead bullets that a lot of shooters avoid running through the factory polygonal barrels. If you reload or shoot budget cast ammo, that flexibility matters. The 9mm SAAMI-spec chamber is cut for reliability and full compatibility with standard loads.
Installation is genuinely straightforward. It's a direct replacement for factory-spec G43 and G43X slides, so it goes in during a normal field strip with no fitting or gunsmithing needed. Because of the slim slide design on these guns, some builds may need the O-ring removed for a clean fit, which takes all of a few seconds. Whether you're refreshing a carry gun, chasing tighter groups on the range, or putting together a slimline custom build, this is a smart, no-fuss upgrade that punches above its size.
Yes, this barrel is designed for both the G43 and G43X, which share the same slide dimensions. It's a direct replacement for factory-spec slides and installs during a normal field strip with no gunsmithing. On some slim slides you may need to remove the O-ring for a clean fit, and that only takes a moment.
You can. Unlike the polygonal rifling in factory Glock barrels, this Faxon barrel uses conventional rifling, which is compatible with cast lead ammo. That makes it a good pick for reloaders and anyone who shoots budget cast loads at the range.
No, this is the non-threaded version with a clean straight fluted muzzle and an 11-degree target crown. If you want to run a suppressor or comp, Faxon offers a threaded Match Series barrel for the G43/43X separately.
It's built to tighter tolerances than the OEM barrel, which gives you a more consistent lockup and better repeatability shot to shot. Paired with the target crown and match-grade 416-R stainless construction, most shooters see a noticeable tightening of their groups. Results always depend on ammo and the shooter, but this is a real upgrade over factory.
