The Magpul XTM Hand Stop Kit is one of those small upgrades that changes how a rifle feels the second you get your hand on it. It's a four-piece setup that gives you a physical stop and index point up front, so your support hand lands in the same spot every time you shoulder the gun. Beyond consistency, that forward stop does a real job of keeping your fingers from creeping past the handguard and onto a hot front sight or muzzle, which anyone who has run a short-barrel setup on a hot range will appreciate.
You get four pieces that work together on a 1913 Picatinny rail: the large hand stop itself, a short index panel, a full-size XTM enhanced rail cover, and a half-size enhanced cover that seats in front of the index panel. The hand stop mounts up with a standard 1/8-inch hex tool, and the panels snap into place using the same interlocking XTM tab system found on Magpul's XTM Rail Covers. That means you can arrange the pieces to match your grip and cover up unused rail sections at the same time.
The panel surfaces carry Magpul's TSP texture, which gives your hand something aggressive to bite into without feeling like sandpaper. Everything is molded from the same reinforced, heat-resistant polymer Magpul uses across its stocks and grips, so it holds up to hard use and shrugs off the heat coming off a rail during a long string. It keeps a slim profile too, so you're adding function without turning your handguard into a bulky mess.
