The Ruger 10/22 Takedown is already one of the handiest rimfires around, and the Magpul X-22 Backpacker stock takes that idea and runs with it. When you separate the barrel, the forend stays attached and the whole assembly snaps securely into the bottom of the buttstock, giving you one tidy package that slides into a pack, a truck, or a bug-out bag. The footprint drops to right around 19 inches, so it stows almost anywhere space is tight, and you can reassemble it into shooting condition in seconds.
This is a drop-in fit for all factory Ruger 10/22 Takedown rifles, and it also plays nice with Tactical Solutions SB-X barrels. Magpul built it from reinforced polymer, so it shrugs off the knocks that come with hauling a rifle into the backcountry.
