The Magpul PRO 700L takes your Remington 700 long action or 700-footprint rifle and drops it into a serious precision chassis without a bunch of gunsmithing headaches. It's built around a fully machined 6061-T6 aluminum skeleton with a V-bedding block, then clad in Magpul polymer that cuts down on noise, handles the elements, and keeps the ergonomics comfortable through long strings of fire. This is the long action version, so it opens the door to bigger magnums and heavier calibers than the short action Pro 700.
Adjustability is where this chassis earns its keep. Length of pull runs from 13.25 to 15.125 inches, and the comb height has a full inch of travel with a secondary locking knob so your cheek weld stays put. The butt pad adjusts up, down, and cants left or right, while the pistol grip gives you trigger reach adjustment fore and aft. It even ships with a second, more aggressively swept grip so you can dial in the feel. The built-in AICS-pattern magazine well runs PMAG 5 AC L standard and magnum long action mags along with most other AICS long action magazines.
The push-button steel hinge folds to either side and stays put when closed, then locks solid when deployed. It clears the bolt handle when folded and plays nice with most aftermarket bolt knobs. Going left-handed is a matter of swapping the bolt cutout plate, flipping the cheek riser, and reversing the hinge with a couple of hex wrenches. That right-bolt/right-fold flexibility is a feature plenty of competing chassis just don't offer.
The forend carries 21 M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock for bipods, arca rails, slings, and lights, and there are QD sling sockets on both sides plus one opposite the bolt slot. Because it's a true drop-in design, most factory long action barrels and aftermarket barrels up to an MTU profile will clear the forend. It sure can. The chassis is fully ambidextrous, so you swap the bolt cutout plate, flip the cheek riser, and reverse the folding hinge to run it left-handed. The whole conversion takes just a couple of hex wrenches and a few minutes.
The integrated magazine well is AICS pattern, so it accepts Magpul PMAG 5 AC L standard and magnum long action mags plus most other AICS-pattern long action magazines.
