Description

The PMAG M3 MCT represents the third generation of Magpul's legendary polymer magazine design, and it shows. This 30-rounder handles 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington with the smooth, problem-free feeding that made the PMAG name stick with just about every AR shooter out there.

What sets the M3 apart is material and geometry. Magpul upgraded the polymer formula to resist impact and crushing better than earlier generations, especially when things get hot or cold. The constant-curve internal geometry keeps rounds stacking properly without binding, while the four-way anti-tilt follower ensures each cartridge feeds cleanly. You get a long-life USGI-spec stainless steel spring for reliability and commonality with mil-spec parts.

Design improvements that matter

The M3 MCT brings practical upgrades that you'll notice in the field. An over-travel stop on the spine prevents magazine over-insertion, which matters if you're running this in non-standard platforms like the HK 416 or FN SCAR. The bolt catch notch was redesigned for better clearance on those guns too. The floorplate is slimmer than the M2 version, so it actually fits tighter magazine pouches without sacrificing durability. Load the rounds, rack it hard, and the floorplate stays locked down.

Built for real use

The Coyote Tan finish sits between black and FDE, blending into typical field conditions without screaming. Low-profile ribs and aggressive front and rear texturing give you positive grip even with muddy hands. On the bottom, you get a paint-pen dot matrix so you can quickly mark your mags with cartridge type, round count, or whatever system works for your kit. Tool-less disassembly makes cleaning straightforward. An included pop-off dust cover keeps debris off loaded rounds during storage or transit.
