If you run a Magpul sling or plan to build one out, the Paraclip is the little piece of hardware that ties the whole setup together. It's a clip-style attachment point sized for 1-1/4" webbing, and it's the same connector Magpul designed around its own mounting ecosystem. Snap it onto a mount, and you get a fast, secure connection that comes off in a hurry when you actually need it to.

What Makes the Paraclip Worth Running

The whole point here is quick-release. In an emergency you can pop the sling off your rifle instantly, but the Cross-Bolt Lock Bar lets you lock the lever closed when you'd rather it stay put no matter what. That flexibility is why so many folks pick these over a fixed loop. The lever itself is case-hardened steel with a Melonite finish, so it shrugs off wear and corrosion whether you're at the range every weekend or hauling it through the backcountry. Magpul tested it to hold over 300 pounds of force, so there's plenty of margin for real-world abuse.

Building Out Your Paraclip Setup

This is where the Paraclip earns its keep. Add two to a Magpul MS1 sling and you've got a dedicated two-point setup. Pair it with the MS1 MS3 or MS1 MS3-QD Adapter instead, and you can switch between two-point and one-point on the fly. On the mounting side it works with the ASAP, RSA, M-LOK Paraclip Sling Mount, shotgun Forward Sling Mounts, SGA Receiver Sling Mounts, and plenty of other clip-in points.

One thing worth knowing before you order: the Paraclip needs a snap-hook style sling loop with an inner diameter of at least 3/8". Go 9/16" or larger and you'll get full range of motion out of it. Between the hardened steel, the polymer body, and the made-in-USA build, it's a small part that punches well above its size.
