The Gen2 keeps that convertible design and refines the parts that matter most. Switch to two-point when you want your rifle riding stable and hands-free, or run it as a one-point for fast, unrestricted movement and quick shoulder transitions. Making the change takes seconds, and you can do it without laying the gun down.
The headline update on the Gen2 is the low-profile quick-adjust slider. It sits flatter against the webbing, stays out of the way, and lets you add or dump tension in two-point mode with one hand. That comes in handy when you're moving from a slung carry to a shooting position and back. Magpul also lengthened the webbing on this version, so it fits comfortably whether you're running slick or layered up in a plate carrier and heavy gear.
The sling anchors with symmetrical Paraclip shackles built from case-hardened steel and heavy-duty polymer. Each Paraclip has a cross-bolt lock bar, so you can lock the lever closed when you want it locked down tight, or leave it ready for a fast release in an emergency. The Paraclips clip onto looped attachment points and pair naturally with the Magpul ASAP plate for smooth one-point shoulder transitions. Worth noting: this is the Paraclip version, not the QD swivel model, so plan your mounts accordingly. A lot of folks add QD swivels with D-ring loops to run one MS3 across several rifles.
The webbing is custom 1.25-inch nylon that's strong, wear resistant, and anti-chaff so it won't tear up your neck over a long day. There are no tails or loops hanging off it to snag on gear, and the colored webbing carries a Near Infrared treatment to help cut IR signature. It's made in the USA and Berry Amendment compliant. This Coyote Tan version blends in nicely with tan and earth-tone setups while pulling all the same duty as the rest of the MS3 lineup.
