The Magpul MS1/MS4 Adapter is the piece that unlocks the full potential of your MS1 sling. Pair it with the sling and an additional QD swivel and you've got one setup that runs both one-point and two-point configurations, letting you switch between them with a single hand. That means you can lock in for a stable two-point carry when you're moving or glassing, then drop to one-point for fast, direct work without wrestling with your gear or getting tangled up.
This thing is built to take a beating. The steel is finished with hardened Melonite and manganese phosphate for corrosion and wear resistance, and the QD D-ring is precision-cast steel treated with a QPQ salt bath nitride finish. The heavy-duty push-button QD sling swivel drops right into the QD cups you'll already find on most lower receivers, receiver end plates, and buttstocks. The custom 1.25 inch nylon webbing is snag-free and anti-chafe, so it rides comfortable against the body while staying strong and wear-resistant.
The real draw here is flexibility. An ambidextrous QD shackle means the adapter works for lefties and righties alike, and it gives you a genuine quick-release option if you ever need to ditch the rifle in a hurry. Folks running this adapter often mention how quick and painless the swap is, with some converting an existing two-point sling into a convertible one-point in just a couple of minutes.
It's a small part that makes a big difference in how your rifle carries and handles. If you already trust the MS1 platform and want the ability to run one setup for everything from range days to hard use, this adapter is the smart way to get there. Made in the USA.
You'll need a Magpul MS1 sling and one additional QD sling swivel (like the MAG540) alongside this adapter. Together they give you a rig that flips between one-point and two-point carry. The adapter itself provides the push-button QD swivel and steel connection ring that make the swap happen.
The push-button QD swivel drops into any standard QD sling cup, which you'll commonly find on lower receivers, receiver end plates, and buttstocks. As long as your setup has a QD socket, it'll seat right in. That covers most modern AR-platform builds out of the box.
It's designed around the Magpul MS1 platform, but users have swapped it onto other sling setups to add QD convertibility. Some have used it to turn a two-point sling into a one-point or two-point convertible rig. Results vary by sling, so it works best when paired with the MS1 it was built for.
Yes. The hardware uses hardened Melonite and manganese phosphate finished steel, and the QD D-ring gets a QPQ salt bath nitride finish for serious corrosion and wear resistance. The 1.25 inch webbing is snag-free and wear-resistant, and the whole thing is made in the USA.
