Description
The Magpul MS1 QDM Sling takes the popular MS1 two-point platform and drops in a pair of factory-installed QDM quick-disconnect swivels, giving you a sling that's ready to run straight out of the package. It rides on 1.25-inch proprietary nylon webbing with a tubular, anti-chafe feel, and the whole thing runs about 48 to 60 inches with roughly five inches of play on either side. The colored webbing even carries a Near Infrared treatment to knock down IR signature, which is a nice touch for folks who care about that sort of thing.
What the QDM Swivels Bring to the MS1
The QDM is where this version earns its keep. Instead of a single push button that can pop loose from a bump, each swivel uses dual side-release tabs you pinch to disconnect, so accidental releases are far less likely. They're built from QPQ salt-bath nitride steel that laughs at sweat and weather, and the high-strength bale rotates freely and guides the webbing so it sits flat in the cup instead of corkscrewing on you. They drop into any standard QD socket, including Magpul stocks with QD cups, M-LOK QD mounts, RSA QD, MSA QD, and end plates.
Dialing In the MS1 QDM Sling
The MS1 slider is the heart of the adjustment. Once you set your base length, you can lengthen or shorten on the fly with a quick pull, no loose tails or dangling loops to snag on gear. Loosen it up for freedom of movement while you're carrying, then cinch it tight for retention or a steadier hold shooting off-hand. It stays put once set, so you're not fighting slip or creep during the day.
Magpul put this sling through the wringer before it ever hit shelves, running it through tens of thousands of adjustment cycles in wet, dry, and sandy conditions, days of static load testing, and weighted drop tests. Made in the USA, it works great on an AR-15 and plays nice with just about any rifle wearing QD sockets. If you later want to run it as a single-point, MS3 and MS4 adapters open that door.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the MS1 QDM come with, and do I need to buy swivels separately?
The sling ships with two Magpul QDM quick-disconnect swivels already installed, so you're ready to mount it as soon as it arrives. You won't need to buy separate hardware for a standard two-point setup. Just make sure your rifle has QD sockets to receive the swivels.
Will the QDM swivels fit my rifle's QD sockets?
The QDM swivels drop into any standard QD cup or socket, which covers most buttstocks, end plates, and receivers with QD provisions. Up front they work with Magpul RSA QD, M-LOK QD Sling Mounts, MSA QD, and most other standard QD mounts. If your setup uses standard QD cups, you're in good shape.
How is the QDM different from a normal push-button QD swivel?
A standard push-button QD can pop loose from a bump or impact since it releases with one press. The QDM uses dual side-release tabs that both have to be pinched at once, so accidental disconnects are much less likely. It also runs a corrosion-resistant QPQ nitride steel build and a rotating bale that keeps the webbing sitting flat instead of twisting.
Can I run the MS1 QDM as a single-point sling?
Out of the box it's set up as a dedicated two-point, which is where the MS1 slider really shines for fast length changes and stable carry. You can convert it to single-point use by adding a Magpul MS3 or MS4 adapter, sold separately. That gives you the flexibility to switch configurations down the road without buying a whole new sling.
