The Magpul RVG (Rail Vertical Grip) is one of those simple upgrades that just makes a rifle feel better in your hands. It's a lightweight polymer vertical foregrip built to clamp onto any 1913 Picatinny railed handguard, and it does exactly what a good foregrip should: puts your support hand in a natural spot, adds control, and helps you swing the muzzle around faster. At right around 2.6 ounces, you'll barely notice the added weight, but you'll feel the difference the moment you shoulder the gun.

How the RVG Handles on the Range

Magpul designed the shape to work two ways. You can wrap your hand around it for a traditional vertical hold, or run it thumb-forward using the thumb break method taught by Magpul Dynamics. The grip sits your support hand high and close to the bore centerline, which keeps things feeling stable and pointable, especially useful for tighter, faster shooting. The aggressive TSP texturing gives you a solid purchase whether your hands are sweaty, wet, or gloved up.

Where the RVG Fits

This one is built for platforms with a bottom Picatinny rail rather than M-LOK slots. That covers plenty of AR-15 and AR-10 builds with railed handguards, older quad-rail setups, and even bullpup shotguns and shotgun forend rails. It mounts with two screws and includes a universal mounting rail so it can also attach to Magpul MOE and ACR handguards that don't have a continuous Picatinny section. If your handguard is M-LOK or KeyMod, you'd want the M-LOK MVG instead, or add a short rail section.
