The Magpul MOE Rifle Stock is one of those parts that just makes an older A2 rifle feel a whole lot better in the hands. It's a drop-in replacement for AR-15 and M16 A1 and A2 stocks running the standard rifle-length receiver extension, so if you've got a 20-inch build or a classic fixed-stock rifle, this slides right into place without any drama. It's built from Magpul's tough polymer and comes in that clean OD Green finish that looks right at home on a utility or range gun.
Where the old A2 stock feels bulky and slick, the MOE trims things down with a slimmer profile and a sloping cheek weld that's genuinely more comfortable to get behind, especially when you're stacking rounds at the bench. The overall shape also opens up different offhand holds, which is a nice touch if you shoot from unconventional positions. The rubberized butt-pad grips your shoulder to keep the gun from sliding around, and it's replaceable down the road if you ever wear it out.
Storage is the sleeper feature here. Pop the hinged butt-plate and there's a large internal compartment that swallows a cleaning kit, batteries, optic mount tools, or small spare parts. Plenty of folks toss a compact tool roll in there so they've always got what they need at the range. For carrying, you've got a built-in 1.25-inch sling loop on the bottom rear, plus optional dual-side front and rear QD mounting points that accept up to 1.5-inch push-button QD swivels for those who prefer a quick-detach setup.
Keep in mind this is a fixed rifle-length stock, so it needs a rifle-length receiver extension, rifle buffer, and spring to run. Swapping it onto a carbine that currently wears a collapsible stock means picking up those rifle-length internals separately. On the bottom you'll also find knockout bosses that let you add an optional accessory rail segment if you want to hang something extra off the stock.
