The Magpul MOE M-LOK Forend is one of those upgrades that makes you wonder why your Remington 870 didn't come this way from the factory. It swaps out the standard forend with a longer, better-shaped polymer piece that gives your support hand a lot more real estate to work with. That extra length combined with molded front and rear hand stops means your hand lands in the same spot every time and racking the pump feels more deliberate and positive. The bright orange color makes it easy to spot in a safe full of black guns and adds a little personality to a workhorse platform.
The headline feature here is the M-LOK slots built right into the forend, which let you bolt on lights, foregrips, or other M-LOK accessories without adapters or rail sections cluttering things up. Magpul kept the cross section narrow on purpose, so it doesn't add unnecessary bulk and it won't snag on slings or gear as you move. It also stops short of the receiver, which means it plays nice with sidesaddle shell carriers if you run one.
This is a drop-in replacement designed for the standard Remington 870 in 12 gauge, and it comes with the installation wrench you need to get the job done. Most folks have it swapped over in a few minutes at the bench. Worth noting before you order: it's built for the standard 870 and is not set up for the 870 Super Mag, and it won't work alongside a heat shield.
Made in the USA from reinforced Magpul polymer, this forend is built for the long haul whether you're running clays, keeping it by the door, or putting it through its paces on the range. It keeps the weight down and the balance predictable, which is exactly what you want out of a pump gun you plan to shoot a lot. It's a simple, no-drama upgrade that modernizes a proven shotgun without changing what makes the 870 great in the first place.
It's a drop-in replacement made for the standard Remington 870 in 12 gauge. It is not compatible with the 870 Super Mag, so double-check which model you have before ordering. It also won't work if your gun is running a heat shield.
It's a straightforward swap and the forend ships with the installation wrench you need to do the job. Most people have the old forend off and this one on in just a few minutes at the bench. No gunsmith required for a standard 870.
Yes, that's the main draw of the M-LOK version. The built-in M-LOK slots let you attach lights, vertical grips, and other M-LOK accessories directly without adding rail sections. That makes it easy to set up your 870 for home defense or range work.
It will. Magpul designed it so it doesn't overlap the receiver, which keeps it out of the way of a sidesaddle. So you can keep spare shells on the receiver and still run this forend.
